Mike Deodato Jr. Sketchbook Review at Comics for Sinners

deodato-sketchOver at the news site Comics for Sinners, you’ll find my review of The Mike Deodato Jr. Sketchbook, which goes on sale January 27 from Red Giant Entertainment. This 64-page collection—available in softcover, hardcover, and digital editions—showcases the amazing talents of one of contemporary comics’ top-level artists, with pinups, layouts, and finished art of such characters as Wonder Woman (on whose series Deodato really became known to comic fans), Batman, the Hulk, Harley Quinn, and many others. Head over to C4S and see what I’m talking about. Apparently Mike Deodato himself has already seen the review and liked it, so he’s been Tweeting his fans to go read it, too!

Larkin_large_cover1Speaking of sketchbooks and amazing talents, have you seen SWC’s The Bob Larkin Sketchbook? If not, you’re missing out on spectacular pencil drawings of femme fatales, pulp adventurers, superheroes, and a host of other characters by the talented Mr. Larkin, whose cover paintings graced such Marvel Comics titles as Dazzler, The Hulk!, Savage Sword of Conan the Barbarian, Haunt of Horror, and Tomb of Dracula, not to mention his renowned work as a cover painter for Bantam Books’ Doc Savage pulp novel reprints. It’s 24 pages of artistic goodness, available exclusively from the StarWarp Concepts webstore. Visit the Bob Larkin Sketchbook product page for all the ordering information, as well as sample pages.
